Simulation

The picture below shows a screen shot of the results of a solidification simulation run. The shot depicts temperature gradients, liquid phase and solid phase fronts in an isometric view of the casting and riser system. It is possible to view a two dimensional cross section through any axis of the mold. Temperature, percent solid, and x-ray views are possible. The program will output the percent of shrinkage at any indicated point in the casting. The results are crucial to designing the right feeding system to achieve a sound casting without the trial and error that was typical prior to the availability of such practical tools. The simulation was created using our NovaSolid simulation software and is typical of the kind of up-front design work we do to assure you of the best results for the least money in the shortest amount of time.
